Proudly handcrafted in England since 1995, the founder-owned-and-run Hi-Fi specialist AVID is just getting started!
AVID the British founder-owned-and-run analogue Hi-Fi manufacturer is proud to announce its 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of British craftmanship.
Based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, AVID has established itself among discerning audiophiles as an uncompromising force in analogue audio. The company is known for its commitment to engineering excellence, insistence on British manufacturing and its hand-crafted designs.
Founded in 1995 by Conrad Mas, who has consistently remained at the helm for 30 years, AVID began with humble garage origins, but had ambitious designs to eradicate unwanted and damaging vibration from the replay chain.
Famously analogue since day one, AVID has grown into a global leader in high-performance turntables, amplifiers and loudspeakers. The company’s diverse product portfolio also includes cables and isolation devices, creating a completely synergistic AVID system.

30 years in the business!
Throughout its history, AVID has been at the forefront of innovation in the Hi-Fi sector. From the introduction of the Acutus turntable, to the development of the company’s Tuned Mass Technology (TMT) loudspeaker damping system, which tackles the problem of unwanted energy at source.
Speaking about AVID’s 30 years of British manufacturing, founder-owner Conrad Mas says, “We are incredibly proud to reach this milestone, AVID’s success over the past 30 years is a testament to the dedication of our skilled engineers and technicians, the loyalty of our customers, and the support of our global distribution and retailer network.
“As we look to an exciting future ahead, and an anniversary year packed full of new launches, we remain committed to driving innovation, the very highest standards and true engineering excellence in everything we do.”

Celebration days!
As part of the 30th-anniversary celebrations, AVID will be hosting a series of factory open day events to thank its customers, dealers and the wider audiophile community, for their continued support. The events start with a sold-out gathering on Feb 1 and will be followed with a summer showcase, plus further events later in the year. Interested parties are advised to follow AVID on social media for the latest updates on future activities.

New frontiers
Carefully planned over the preceding months, AVID has implemented an unprecedented series of new launches to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the first of which will be announced in January. The launches will include some all-new turntables, plus some refinements to some of AVID’s best-loved components.
As AVID celebrates its 30th anniversary year, the company remains focused on the future and plans to continue its investment in research and development, expanding its product lines, and exploring new markets while adding new distributors and retailers along the way.
