James Loudspeaker has introduced the Omni48AT landscape satellite speaker and the Omni89AT satellite/subwoofer package. Both are made from marine-grade powder coated aluminium enclosures and feature proprietary purpose-built drivers designed for lasting performance.
The Omni48AT is can deliver 360° of sound from a single location. Utilised over proprietary high-excursion 4in woofers, four coaxially mounted 0.75in aluminium dome tweeters are mated to a sophisticated crossover network.
These outdoor speakers promise to deliver a balanced and accurate musical presentation at ‘impressive’ output levels. The 4in woofers feature an aluminium cone and Santoprene surround to withstand harsh outdoor environments.
The Omni89AT is an Omni48AT combined with a matching down-firing 8in subwoofer, also housed in an aluminium enclosure. The Omni89AT delivers full range omnidirectional sound from a an above ground solution.
James Loudspaker describe typical applications as being rocky landscape areas where traditional subwoofers cannot be installed, or a large area of open seating where full omnidirectional coverage is beneficial. The company claims that the Omni89AT allows a single enclosure to do the same job as four 42AT all terrain satellite speakers with a subwoofer.
Both Omni Series models are available in 15 standard finishes as well as unlimited custom colours and coatings, to allow integration into all outdoor environments. Additionally, both models are available in 4ohm or 70V versions to accommodate any system architecture. 70V models use high quality, low-loss, toroidal transformers.
The system can also be custom ordered in a bi-amplified configuration, allowing more control over bass performance. James Loudspeaker’s Omni Series speakers are made in Napa, California and available now.
