GIK Acoustics unveils enhanced PIB V2 and modular PIB Pack

GIK Acoustics has announced the launch of the PIB V2, an upgraded version of its popular Portable Isolation Booth (PIB), alongside the new PIB Pack bundle, offering an all-in-one, modular vocal recording solution.

The PIB V2 represents a significant refinement of GIK Acoustics’ original Portable Isolation Booth, now featuring improved acoustic isolation, greater durability and enhanced portability, says the company.

Said to be offering outstanding broadband absorption to minimise room reflections and external noise, the PIB V2 is a strong solution for vocal recordings, podcasts and voiceover work in home or commercial studios. The new panels include upgraded hinges, robust clasps, and recessed front plates. The foldable, freestanding design allows for ease of setup, teardown and storage, again making them ideal for professional studios, home setups, or mobile recording rigs.

•        Compact, durable, freestanding, easily stored

•        Standard size unfolded: 108cm wide (each panel is 54cm) x 200cm tall

•        Standard size collapsed: 108cm wide (each panel is 54cm) x 114cm tall

•        Weight: 20 kg

•        Available in quality Camira Cara BLACK fabric with beech wood veneer panel

•        Customizable with other Camira Cara or Camira Lucia fabrics upon request

•        Employs GREENSAFE technology absorption material

•        Compatible with standard mic stand setups

“The PIB has always been the go-to for precise vocal capture and bleed control, but Version 2 elevates it further,” explains Melissa Harris Chambers, Acoustic Designer at GIK Acoustics. “The improved hardware and recessed mounting plates provide a cleaner, more durable finish, delivering the trusted performance engineers have relied upon for years.”

Building on the PIB V2’s enhancements, GIK Acoustics has also introduced the PIB Pack, its ultimate portable recording solution.

This modular package combines two PIB V2 units with a specially designed ceiling panel, creating a larger, better-performing portable sound booth.

The extra space allows for a more comfortable workspace for vocal performers, accommodates larger acoustic instruments, and provides ample room for advanced stereo mic techniques.

The PIB Pack offers professional-grade sound isolation and broadband sound absorption without the boomy or boxy characteristics of small, enclosed booths, and can be set up in minutes, without any permanent installation, says the maker.
