Elipson launches the Horus range of speakers

Following its first public showing at The Paris Audio Show in October 2022, the Horus range of loudspeakers has now arrived. This brand-new model range features a complete package of a bookshelf, floorstanding speaker, centre-channel and subwoofer, all offering precise and musical sound reproduction in a modern design. Elipson believe that the combined efforts of its highly experienced Paris based R&D team has successfully resulted in a range of stylish and versatile speakers – offering the audiophile consumer an unbeatable price/performance ratio.

The Elipson R&D team have created a modern range of speakers with a consistent acoustic signature based around a driver design that features paper and glass fibre, in conjunction with a silk dome neodymium tweeter. The crossover design features major elements of acoustic design know-how gained from the Prestige, Facet and Heritage ranges.

The Horus model range

With musicality at the heart of the Horus range, the compact Horus 6B bookshelf speaker offers an astonishing level of performance for its size and price according to the maker. Designed to be flexible in the home, this speaker ‘can amaze as a music only, stereo solution for small rooms through to complementing a well-balanced multi-channel set-up for music and movies’.

The Horus 11F floorstanding speaker is an elegant 2.5-way loudspeaker featuring 2in by 5in mid-range, and a silk dome tweeter that brings a perfectly cohesive and musical sound to everything a listener would wish to play through them. A stylish design, high quality finishes and forward firing bass ports bring an ease of integration into the home meaning positioning and aesthetic installations can be achieved with minimum disruption.

To specifically complement the Horus range Elipson have designed the Horus 10C from the ground up as a brand-new, matching centre channel. The Horus 10C has a two-way design that is voiced to match with the Horus range, giving integration of multi-channel music and movie soundtrack playback.

The final member of the Horus family is Elipson’s dedicated Horus 8S compact active subwoofer. Due in April, this subwoofer is specifically designed to partner its siblings in a complete multi-channel set-up. Featuring an 8in drive unit powered by a Class D amplifier capable of 300W and using DSP control, Elipson says that you can be sure that performance/price is absolutely remarkable.

30 years on from the original, the Horus range has ultimately evolved its own refined style, complemented by a modern design available in three finishes: black – carbon/light wood – beige/walnut – dark grey.
