Artcoustic has announced two new additions to its subwoofer line-up, the Sub 2-12 and Sub 3-12, which the company says represent a new era in low-frequency engineering.
Both models feature the newly developed premium 12-inch Artc12i-19mm driver, which is purpose-built for powerful, low-distortion performance with exceptional clarity and control across the low-frequency spectrum. The driver offers 19mm of linear travel, a robust motor structure, extended voice coil for improved heat handling, and the ability to handle up to 700W peak input. Artcoustic says the result is studio-grade bass performance suited to demanding residential and professional installations.
Kim Donvig, Designer and Engineer at Artcoustic, says, “With the new 6th-order bandpass subwoofers, my focus is to achieve something that’s normally a contradiction: extremely high output from a compact, discreet design. The dual-chamber, tuned-port system allows me to extract maximum efficiency, meaning these subs play louder and hit harder from the same amplifier power. At the same time, the form factor has been kept deliberately small and clean, making placement effortless and integration almost invisible. For me, that balance of power, precision and discretion is the real achievement — bass you can feel everywhere, without the box ever dominating the room.”

The Sub 2-12 is designed as a compact yet powerful solution, pairing the new Artc12i-19mm driver with a 6th-order bandpass design. The company says this delivers greater SPL from the same amplifier power, reduced distortion and clean, tight bass that is well suited to media rooms, high-end residential spaces and professional audio environments.
For larger rooms, the Sub 3-12 introduces two Artc12i-19mm drivers in a bigger cabinet, delivering deeper extension down to 25Hz and higher SPL capability. The product is also tunable for either punchy mid-bass or extended low-end down to 25 Hz.
Artcoustic says the performance is equivalent to much larger vented enclosures but in a more compact footprint, making it an option for private cinemas, large studios and commercial AV projects.
