Artcoustic introduces the Spitfire Q Series, a new reference range of cinema loudspeakers designed for high-end private cinemas and fixed professional installations.
The company positions the new series as a benchmark product, combining the performance benefits of line-array systems with the visual simplicity and elegance of a single enclosure.
Developed to deliver cinematic scale without the complexity typically associated with multi-cabinet solutions, the Spitfire Q Series is engineered around a tightly controlled vertical driver architecture. This approach allows predictable, repeatable performance without the need for stacking, complex alignment, or time-consuming commissioning.
At the heart of the Q Series are two proprietary technologies developed exclusively for the platform: Infinity High-Frequency Lens and Stretch Flare Control. Artcoustic explains that these technologies precisely shape and time-align high-frequency energy before it enters the room, delivering exceptionally wide horizontal coverage alongside tightly controlled vertical dispersion. This ensures consistent sound quality and intelligibility across every seating position.

“The Q Series is the culmination of over three decades of experience in high-performance cinema and architectural audio. Designed without compromise, it delivers exceptional output, control and scalability across private cinemas, commercial cinemas and professional installations. It is the most powerful and advanced loudspeaker range we have ever built—yet also the most versatile,” says Kim Donvig, Designer and Engineer at Artcoustic.
Engineered for high sound pressure levels with low distortion, the Spitfire Q Series delivers cinema-level dynamics with high efficiency, says the company. By reducing amplifier demand, overall system stress is lowered while available headroom is increased, allowing clean, controlled performance even during the most demanding scenes.
Seamless integration with Artcoustic subwoofers provides a coherent and controlled transition into the low frequencies, delivering impact without sacrificing clarity or dialogue intelligibility. Designed around RP-led cinema thinking, the Spitfire Q Series focuses on controlled dispersion, intelligibility and dynamic headroom by design, delivering predictable coverage and cinematic impact throughout the room.
