Acoustic Energy has launched the AE307², the final addition to its redesigned 300 Series loudspeaker range. Designed as a versatile LCR (Left-Centre-Right) model, the AE307² is aimed at both stereo systems and home cinema installations.
The AE307² introduces a new 300 Series mid-woofer made from a blend of paper and coconut husk, which delivers a natural tonal response with warmth and clarity, says the company. This is combined with a newly developed soft-dome tweeter for open high frequencies and smooth integration across the audio spectrum.
For the first time in this price range, Acoustic Energy has incorporated its Resonance Suppression Composite (RSC) cabinet technology, previously reserved for the Reference Series. The speaker uses an ultra-shallow sealed box with a passive radiator, offering flexibility for wall-mounted installations in modern living environments.
Available in walnut, silk-touch matte black or matte white finishes, the AE307² is supplied with colour-coordinated trims and slim magnetic cloth grilles. An optional angled desk stand provides the optimum listening position for home cinema setups.
Mat Spandl, Managing Director of Acoustic Energy, says, “The launch of the new AE307² speaker now completes the new 300 Series. Adding a versatile LCR offers customers the option of building a multi-channel system around the 300 Series that delivers exceptional sound quality and integrates seamlessly into modern living spaces.”
Founded in 1987 and based in the Cotswolds, Acoustic Energy has built a reputation for producing loudspeakers that combine technical performance with accessible design. The 300 Series refresh reflects the company’s focus on contemporary styling, innovative driver materials and advanced cabinet engineering, all while maintaining price points suited to a wide audience.
With the addition of the AE307², the 300 Series now offers customers a full line-up for both two-channel listening and multi-channel cinema systems, strengthening Acoustic Energy’s position in the competitive mid-market loudspeaker sector.
LCR speakers are increasingly popular in home cinema installations as providing of course a balanced front soundstage where dialogue, effects and music integrate at the right levels. Whilst traditional stereo setups are still popular, an LCR configuration has the advantage of consistent performance across the width of the room, delivering clarity and immersion for every listener. This ability is often a good solution if streaming content is sounding muddy and not clear as some systems struggle with the 5.1 mix many streaming platforms use. This makes products like the AE307² a key building block for modern multi-channel audio systems and media rooms.
The AE307² is priced at £429 each, with the optional stand available at £49. It is available now to authorised Acoustic Energy retailers.
