Lewis CaliburnHisense’s VIDAA, the operating system powering Hisense televisions in the UK, has been officially recognised as the fastest TV OS on the market. The recognition follows an independent benchmark report conducted by WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING GmbH, one of Germany’s leading testing and publishing institutions.
The comprehensive evaluation measured the responsiveness of five leading Smart TV operating systems across 11 everyday tasks, ranging from app launches and voice searches to HDMI switching and WiFi scanning. VIDAA achieved the fastest performance in seven of the eleven categories and earned the highest overall score, achieving an 89% performance rating.
Among the standout results, VIDAA recorded just 0.88 seconds to switch HDMI inputs, 0.90 seconds to skip OTT channels and 1.88 seconds for voice search.
The operating system also excelled in network scanning, Netflix HDR playback, MP3 audio playback and DLNA image casting, outperforming the next best system by a significant margin.

The testing was carried out by WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING GmbH, publisher of connect magazine, a European consumer electronics publication. Tests were conducted using professional-grade equipment under controlled conditions, employing high-speed 120 fps video capture and multiple repetitions to ensure accuracy. All devices tested were 43-inch, entry-level consumer TVs to reflect real-world usage.
