Pure Audio Streaming has appointed mastering engineer Michael Romanowski as its Director of Content Licensing for the Americas. Romanowski will formally debut in this new role with Pure Audio Streaming at the NAMM Show 2026, where the company will be exhibiting January 20–24 in Anaheim, California, in booth 14916.
Pure Audio Streaming is a premium immersive music service designed to deliver the ultimate listening experience to audiophiles – in the highest possible fidelity – while preserving the artist’s true intent.
The brand’s platform streams music in cutting-edge formats, including the highest resolution immersive audio, binaural, high-resolution multichannel and lossless stereo PCM. Unlike traditional streaming services, Pure Audio Streaming uses a user-centric payout system, ensuring artists are paid based on actual listener engagement rather than a pooled revenue model.
Romanowski is a five-time GRAMMY Award winner, renowned for his decades-long influence on high-fidelity and immersive music production. As owner and chief engineer of Coast Mastering, he has shaped the sound of hundreds of acclaimed albums, developed pioneering workflows for spatial formats and established himself as a leading advocate for artist-first audio quality across the industry.
This year, Romanowski has also been nominated once again for the 2026 GRAMMY for Best Immersive Audio Album, alongside fellow immersive music innovator Justin Gray, for the project Immersed – available exclusively on Pure Audio Streaming.
“Pure Audio Streaming represents everything I’ve worked for in my career – the highest quality music, fair payout models for artists, accessible to everyone, and now in immersive,” says Romanowski. “The technology has caught up to the demand, and I’m excited to help reshape what it means to release an album in 2026.”
In his new position at Pure Audio Streaming, Romanowski will focus on developing partnerships with independent and major labels, guiding artists through immersive-ready production, mastering and delivery, expanding the platform’s catalogue of high-resolution immersive releases and educating the market on creative and commercial opportunities enabled by spatial streaming.
“Having worked with Michael Romanowski for 30 years, we are so excited to have him on board. He’s pioneered working with artists for immersive audio delivery and now gets to share what he knows with everyone,” says Jonathan Reichbach, CEO and Founder of Pure Audio Streaming.
