Goldmund has introduced the Mimesis Statement, its new flagship analogue preamplifier, which the brand calls its most advanced analogue preamplifier to date.
With an architecture entirely rethought from previous generations, it advances precision and signal integrity in pursuit of a more faithful musical experience.
At the heart of the Mimesis Statement is a new three-chassis architecture, physically separating the preamplification electronics from two external power supply units dedicated to the left and right channels. Combined with a fully symmetrical internal architecture, this configuration isolates the two channels, creating stable, low-noise conditions for the audio circuitry.
A new generation of power supply electronics builds on Goldmund’s discrete regulation principle, with additional voltage-regulation stages delivering the required noise rejection.
A newly developed audio board introduces a new architecture and new volume-control management, further refining signal management throughout the preamplifier. Proprietary internal wiring and optimised heat dissipation complete an architecture conceived to minimize interference and maintain optimal operating conditions.
These developments translate into measurable performance, with a frequency response extending from 0.2 Hz to 1.5 MHz (±3 dB), THD+N of 0.0002% from unbalanced input to unbalanced output, IMD+N of 0.0006% from unbalanced input to unbalanced output, and a signal-to-noise ratio above 130 dB on line input (above 138 dB, A-weighted).
The Mimesis Statement also introduces two Trigger Out connections, switching between 0 V and 12 V to control the operating state of two compatible power amplifiers simultaneously.
Its redesigned exterior introduces a new cover glass display and metal-coated front-panel controls. A fine recessed gold line extends across the three chassis.
