Fyne Audio is aiming to connect with a whole new generation of music lovers with the launch of the Cubitt 5, a compact fully active bookshelf speaker system designed to deliver high-fidelity sound through the platforms and devices modern listeners use every day.
The new system combines the company’s acoustic engineering expertise with a simple, lifestyle-friendly approach to music playback, whether users are streaming from a smartphone, spinning vinyl or improving TV sound. Designed as an all-in-one solution, Cubitt 5 integrates amplification, crossover and digital signal processing directly into the speaker system, removing the need for separate Hi-Fi components and complex cabling.
According to the company, the product marks an important step for the Glasgow-based brand, distilling its award-winning audio expertise into a more accessible package aimed at both personal listening and shared social experiences.

Anji Sosna, MD, Fyne Audio, says, “Cubitt 5 delivers on a simple yet powerful idea: that connecting with music should be effortless, and great sound should be accessible to everyone.”
At the heart of the system is Fyne Audio’s latest 5in IsoFlare point-source driver. The technology is designed to deliver precise stereo imaging and consistent room-filling sound by radiating audio from a single point. The driver is also partnered with the company’s FyneFlute surround technology, which aims to reduce unwanted colouration and improve clarity across a wider listening area.
Cubitt 5 delivers up to 240W of power and supports 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio playback. Wireless connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and AAC support, with the company placing significant emphasis on optimising the Bluetooth signal path for high-quality streaming performance.
Dave Waters, VP of Sales, Fyne Audio, says, “Stream from your phone. Spin a record. Plug into your TV. No apps to wrestle with. No system lock-ins. Just a beautifully compact pair of speakers that connect instantly to music and elevate everything you play.”
Connectivity options also include a built-in phono stage for direct turntable connection, analogue and optical digital inputs and HDMI eARC for TV integration. A dedicated subwoofer output is included for users looking to add greater low-frequency performance, while a compact remote control docks discreetly on the rear of one speaker.
Fyne Audio says the product has been developed over two years with the aim of bringing genuine stereo Hi-Fi performance to a broader audience without the complexity often associated with traditional separates systems.
Anji adds, “The Cubitt 5 is the culmination of two years research and development into how we can best bring a whole new generation of music lovers into enjoying high fidelity music reproduction at home. It had to be simple, it had to be affordable, and unlike streaming speakers it had to be true stereo and platform agnostic. Yet most of all it had to distil Fyne’s extensive audio engineering pedigree and award-winning sound quality into truly class-leading performance at the price.”

Designed for flexible placement around the home, the compact cabinet features high-density construction, internal bracing and a front-firing bass port to allow positioning closer to walls. The speakers are available in five finishes: Midnight Black, Pearl Titanium, Olive Green, Pebble Grey and Arctic White.
Christopher Mills, Electroacoustic Engineer, Fyne Audio, says, “Cubitt 5 isn’t trying to turn music lovers into audiophiles. It’s simply bringing true hi-fi sound to the way people already listen to music, making that musical connection deeper, richer and more engaging.”
Named after Cubitt Court, the company’s Glasgow headquarters and production facility, Cubitt 5 will be available in selected countries from June 2026 priced at £549 / €649 / $749.
