Prove your humanity

Successive open days will offer guests the first chance to experience the latest CEDIA product intros, network with manufacturers and brand specialists, and explore Habitech’s new suite of training and demo spaces.

Habitech, value-added distributor, has announced its annual product and networking event. Created to offer a stimulating mix of new products and knowhow, Habitech’s Techfest will run over four days, giving custom integrators their first hands-on understanding of innovations fresh from CEDIA US, as well as a seminar programme covering the big tech issues of the day, and the chance to network with manufacturers – all within Habitech’s new training and demonstration environment.

Close encounters

UK product premieres include JVC’s latest creations, the newest additions to the ultra-wide Sonance line-up, and WyreStorm’s product intros, all fresh from San Diego. Guided by Habitech’s product team, TechFest visitors will enjoy a first encounter with a great new line of uber-capable Ruckus switches, supplied with a lifetime warranty and designed to partner its peerless APs in high-density 802.11ac / 802.11ax deployments.

Techfest will also introduce the new Ruckus IoT Suite of APs, modules, WLAN and controllers, designed to unify the many IoT standards, plug holes in security and optimise interoperability simultaneously, relieving potentially enormous time and cost pressures.

In addition, Techfest plays host to the launch of Legrand’s ‘MyHOME_Up’ home automation system, a simple plug-and-play path to whole-home control over lighting, heating, audio, video, blinds and security from a smartphone app. Integration was never this easy, and we’ll prove it!

New demo spaces

Supporting the exclusive product intros, TechFest will unveil Habitech’s new suite of demo spaces created to help integrators visualise product applications and benefits in a real-world setting. Refurbished using services supplied by CinemaTech, a leading provider of aesthetic and acoustic treatments, the new cinemas and two-channel spaces will in themselves make a compelling case for the transformative power of CinemaTech’s proven expertise. Now available exclusively through Habitech, CinemaTech will help designers to win lucrative new business from the most discerning home theatre customers.

TechFest guests will also experience the most impeccably discreet and accurate system performance at Habitech’s flagship 9:4:4 Wisdom theatre, recently equipped with the latest state-of-the-art 20-channel processing. And the company will demonstrate just how far discreet cinema performance has evolved in the mainstream with a new 9:4:4 Sonance Reference Theatre, starring Sonance Reference series cinema speakers, ARCAM processing/amplification and Dolby Vision HDR sources.

A choice of high-quality discreet two-channel options is available to audition in Habitech’s new pure audio room, featuring Wisdom’s award-winning Insight P2i in-walls, Sonance VP models, the Sonance IS4 and ISW invisible speakers and its adjustable-width soundbars. Outside, Habitech is staging a peerless free-air show with the new Sonance Landscape Series of outdoor speakers, representing a dynamic leap forward in all-weather versatility and performance.

Everything in one place

By placing a complete range of product solutions in a single location, Habitech says its practical new demonstration walls make comparison easy. The iPort Wall for instance showcases the versatile and specialised range of discreet iPad mounts – twenty in all – including the luxurious LuxePort design, while the Sonance Sub Wall will reveal all the options for the deep, but discreet bass. Alongside, the new Yamaha MusiCast Wall is designed to demonstrate MusiCast’s easy integration with all the leading control systems, as well as its sound quality.

Complementary seminars

Sandwiched between all the dems as part of the TechFest experience, Habitech is staging a series of seminars to answer all the big tech questions concerning HDR and the evolution of 4K UHD distribution, reveal the latest audio design breakthroughs in the Sonance repertoire, and take visitors on a ‘hot seat’ tour of the newest home cinema technologies.

Acting in the tradition of Habitech’s value-added culture, TechFest will introduce new ways to help integrators boost their performance and earning power.

The event takes place at company HQ, Basingstoke, September 24-27, 2018. To register, visit http://www.habitech.co.uk/techfest+2018.htm
