Meridian Audio has confirmed exactly what it will be showing off at EI Live! 2019 next month, with the firm bringing an array of its own products, as well as products from Barco Residential, Display Technologies, and Cinema Acoustic Treatment Systems.
Hot off the heels of the ISE launch, Meridian will be showing its new in-wall loudspeakers, the DSP640.2 and DSP520.2. The in-wall models are the first to be powered by the new Meridian Class-M DSP engine, with the company stating that this gives the models a high SPL and strong bass performance capabilities. These in-wall models will be complemented by the company’s growing 200 Series of products, which includes the 251 Powered Zone Controller, 218 Zone Controller, 271 Digital Theatre Controller, 258 Hi-Res Eight Channel Power Amplifier, and Meridian’s recently-launched 210 Streamer.
Meridian has also confirmed that it will be bringing one of its high-end, standalone loudspeakers to EI Live! 2019, with the firm’s M6 Digital Active loudspeaker set to take centre stage. This loudspeaker features Meridian’s ‘mono’ mode technology which sums signals from the left and right channels so that the M6’s signature sound can be achieved from just one single loudspeaker. Both the left and right channels are summed so that none of the information is lost, ensuring premium audio quality even in modest-sized homes.
Home Cinema Design Made Easy
The Meridian team will be illustrating how its Design and Specification Service, which integrates its own products as well as those from Barco Residential, Display Technologies, and Cinema Acoustic Treatment Systems, can make it quicker and easier for integrators to specify the right products for the perfect installation. This complimentary service provides integrators with detailed wiring diagrams and a precise room plan showing where the speakers, projector, acoustic panelling and projection screen should be positioned.
Meridian will also be discussing how those who want to create their own instant cinema and media room designs can do so by using the The CEDIA Designer (TCD) software. An extension of the Design and Specification Service, this software provides 3D arrangement of speakers, in alignment with industry standards.
