The UK’s only dedicated custom install tradeshow, EI Live! 2017 is set to take place on May 10th and 11th at Sandown Park, and on top of its strong focus on home automation technology, the exhibition once again has a lot to offer in regards to providing the latest in home cinema advancements.
One exhibitor making a real statement this year is Pulse Cinemas, which is using the tradeshow to launch four home cinemas packages which look to combine high-performance, but at a very competitive price point.
The entry-level package will be exclusively demonstrated at EI Live! and the show will be the only chance installers will get to experience a full demo of just how good the company’s new sub 20K complete home cinema package really is.
“The idea came from us looking at our product portfolio and realising that we can put together some amazing cinema packages for even the smallest budgets,” explains Charlie McClarron, sales manager at the company.
“I don’t want to give away too much about this package deal yet, but I think the dealers are going to be very surprised with how much it costs! We are also very confident that our competitors won’t be able to put a package like this together with the comprehensive nature and quality of product we are offering, at the price we are going to do it at.”

Meanwhile, the Epson home cinema zone within the AWE Village will include the Epson EH-LS10500 3LCD Reflective Laser Projector, as well as other home cinema projectors from Epson.
To represent a true to life cinema room, the setup will also feature Draper projection screens, including the ReAct ambient light-rejecting fabric, speakers from KEF and Marantz amplification.
Home Cinema Design Training:
Learn How To Design A CEDIA Awards-Compliant Home Theatre In Just 5 Minutes
Show-goers can also hear about one of the most inventive, time and money saving design systems available as Guy Singleton of install company Imagine This presents a free training session based around his own invention.
The Cinema Designer (TDC) Home Theatre Training seminar will take place in the Learning Zone at the back of the hall at 14.45-15.30 and is aimed at home cinema installers, dealers and manufacturers and outlines the methods of designing home theatre or screening rooms to industry standards using revolutionary TCD software.
TCD is the first fully cloud-based home theatre and screening room design software that will give all integrators the luxury of accurate designs in minutes.
TCD does in minutes what would typically take a cinema designer around three weeks to create, creating nine drawings comprised of four isometrics, a top plan, four elevations, and a PDF file – amounting to around 25 pages to produce to the client. TCD can create a 3D CAD drawing for any room in under 30 seconds, and can be used anywhere in the world, on any room.
CEDIA awards entries need documentation; TCD provides all relevant documentation for theatre design, allowing any company to enter the awards, no matter their size.
CEDIA/CEA (now CTA) CEB-22 and CEB-23 are the international standards for all theatre designs; the course will touch on all aspects of these standards, from immersive audio to UHD video and its correct implementation, to award winning projects. TCD software will form the basis of the discussion points to allow for a fast paced, but incredibly accurate design which conforms to industry-recognised standards, so come and learn how to save yourself time and money and win more projects.

Habitech And ARCAM
Habitech is keen to encourage attendees to enquire about its home cinema design service, plus EI Live! is the first place installers can see its latest offering: ARCAM. ARCAM and Habitech will hold four exclusive and condensed ARCAM accreditation sessions during the exhibition.
Each of the two-hour sessions will introduce the brand, the technology and the techniques required to optimise cinema performance in any space, offering custom installers the possibility of achieving full ARCAM sales accreditation.
The courses will be run by ARCAM’s product manager Andy Moore, and will be held in The Royal Box on the first floor of Sandown Park. Sessions are 10am and 1pm on Wednesday May 10 and Thursday May 11.
