Intelligent power management company Eaton is expanding its EV charging portfolio in Europe with the launch of two new models, designed for integration with Eaton infrastructure solutions and manageable via the ChargePoint software platform.

Eaton says its partnership with ChargePoint simplifies every stage of an EV charging project—from purchase through design to deployment. The turnkey solutions include electrical infrastructure and engineering services alongside EV chargers and management software, helping customers optimise site power, reduce costs and enhance reliability, says the company.

The new chargers support Eaton’s Buildings as a Grid approach, which transforms buildings into energy hubs using on-site renewable generation to reduce operational costs, cut carbon emissions and generate revenue when fees are charged for EV charging, says Eaton.

The DC 30 provides fast top-ups suitable for roadside, fleet and destination charging at locations such as supermarkets. Compliant with the EU’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), the charger supports registration-free payment methods required for public deployment and features bi-directional vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capability, preparing sites for future energy flexibility, says the company.

The Duo charger is designed for spaces where two vehicles need to charge simultaneously, such as driveways or garages, and can be wall, floor or ceiling mounted. Both the DC 30 and Duo offer dynamic load balancing to prevent capacity issues and are ISO15118 compliant. Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) integrity is assured through an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). Intuitive digital interfaces allow easy use and maintenance, while remote software upgrades and connection to Eaton’s monitoring platform support rapid issue resolution to maximise uptime, says Eaton.

Eaton says the chargers are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and standardised installation procedures and modular design make commissioning quicker and simpler. Installations take on average 25% less time than similar market offerings. A range of warranties and Eaton’s local service support provide additional reassurance.

Eaton will headline the Reuters Energy Transition Europe 2025 conference in London on October 20-21, 2025. Jean Miyeli, general manager, Energy Transition, Eaton, will deliver a keynote entitled “Navigating the Energy Transition: Balancing Short-Term Crises with Long-Term Vision,” highlighting the company’s EV charging partnership with ChargePoint and its successful European projects, says Eaton.
