CEDIA is travelling to Mumbai this October to host a week-long training and networking event to provide new, existing and prospective CEDIA members with relevant training and certification. Returning to India for the fourth time from Monday 3-7 October 2016, CEDIA will host a selection of popular CEDIA education sessions at Hotel Sofitel in Mumbai.

CEDIA has developed a package for delegates to attend any of the training sessions at a set price. CEDIA members can purchase this deal for 30,000 INR, and non-members for 45,000 INR. To attend individual sessions, prices start from 3,000 INR for members and 4,750 INR for non-members. Education Vouchers will also be accepted throughout the week.

“India continues to experience rapid growth in smart home technology, so we are thrilled to return to the country for another busy week of industry training and education,” comments Wendy Griffiths, executive director of CEDIA EMEA. “This event not only provides professionals with invaluable training and guidance, but allows the CEDIA team to meet its members to share ideas and initiatives regarding the industry and its future. We look forward to seeing both new and old faces at the event this October.”

A handful of this year’s courses will be presented by experienced CEDIA presenters, Peter Aylett and Ken Erdmann. With over 60 years’ experience between them, Peter and Ken will deliver a range of courses, including ‘Future Technologies: The Silicon Valley Scoop’, ‘Wire, Wireless and Fibre – Understanding Bandwidth’, and a number of fundamental networking classes.

Peter will open the training event on Monday with the CEDIA Accredited Presenter course. This session develops attendees’ presentation and classroom management skills.

Previous attendees include Sawan Nichani, Jay Nihalani and Harshul Parikh, who will also be presenting CEDIA’s accredited courses during this five day event.

The final day will conclude with a mixed exam session, allowing attendees to take any of the three main CEDIA certifications: ESC-T, ESC-N, and ESC-D. Led by Ken Erdmann, the session starts with a short Q&A session, followed by a two-hour multiple choice exam.
