Jordan O'BrienIf you attended a CEDIA Tech Forum event in 2015, be prepared for a whole new roster of events in 2016; with a new venue set to join the schedule this year.
Once again there will be five events in CEDIA’s calendar in 2016, with the first set to take place on April 20 in Bristol. That will be followed by a May 17 event in London, a June 22 event in Edinburgh and a Manchester event on September 28.
Rounding out 2016 will be CEDIA’s all new venue in Dublin; where it will hold a Tech Forum on October 19.
Tech Forum events in 2016 will work much in the same way that they did in 2015. Free training and educational sessions will continue to be offered, while installers looking for networking opportunities will find plenty of key industry players around at each event.
Aldous Systems, Anthem, AWE, HD Anywhere, Domotz, Genesis, Habitech, Indigo Distribution, Invision, Just Add Power, Lutron, Loxone, Meridian, Multi Room Company, Savant, Teleste and Wyrestorm have already been announced as the sponsors of the 2016 events.
Each sponsor will host a 60 minute presentation giving installers the necessary knowledge needed to get going with their respective products. Each training session will run simultaneously every hour starting from 10am and finishing at 5:30pm.
Following the training events, as with every Tech Forum, the day will end with CEDIA’s networking event, Connect with CEDIA. This will run from 7pm until 9pm and give attendees the opportunity to meet industry players, as well as CEDIA professional staff.
