CEDIA Launches CEDIA Online Learning, elevating online education for members. With a feature-rich design and expert-driven content, CEDIA’s new learning platform has been rebuilt to meet the evolving needs of members worldwide.

CEDIA, the Association for Smart Home Professionals, has launched CEDIA Online Learning, a new Learning Management System (LMS) designed to revolutionise online education for the smart home technology industry. This new platform introduces a host of innovative features to engage learners, streamline management and provide actionable insights to deliver CEDIA’s industry-leading content.

“Education is a core pillar of CEDIA’s mission, and the launch of CEDIA Online Learning represents a significant investment in the future of our industry,” says Daryl Friedman, CEDIA Global President and CEO. “This online platform empowers members with the knowledge and skills they need to adapt, innovate, and lead in the ever-changing smart home landscape.”

CEDIA Online Learning includes a full library of courses spanning a variety of topics for learners of all skill levels. The platform combines years-worth of heavily researched education with new content and features, including:

  • Engaging and User-Friendly Experience
The platform features an intuitive interface, offering enhanced activities that make education more engaging and effective. With gamification elements like digital badges, leaderboards, and rewards, users can showcase certifications and credentials while staying motivated through active participation.
  • Streamlined Employee Learning Management
The service allows seamless management of employee learning, enabling members to purchase, assign, and evaluate training progress directly within the platform. This integration simplifies administrative tasks and ensures a more cohesive training experience.
  • Enhanced Data Insights for Continuous Improvement
Real-time progress tracking and data analysis allow members to identify areas for improvement and ensure higher completion rates. Annual community reports will leverage these insights to shape future educational content to align training opportunities with the evolving needs of the industry.
  • Diverse Learning Delivery Modes
The new platform offers various delivery methods to cater to different learning styles. Learners can engage with content online, with an instructor, or through on-the-job training, making education more accessible and flexible.
  • Immediate Access to Expertise
Learners can quickly get their questions answered by subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructors. Additionally, they can explore answers in the Knowledge Base, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed.

CEDIA says it continues to expand its educational offerings with exciting new developments, including the Residential Networking Specialist (RNS) certification, now live following a thorough review by CEDIA volunteer experts. Additionally, popular business courses will be available before the new year, along with new courses on leveraging CEDIA membership for business growth.

“With robust new features our members want, CEDIA Online Learning provides unmatched opportunities for professional development,” adds Paul Dolenc, CEDIA Vice President of Education and Training. “The platform delivers education that is flexible, accessible, and aligned with the real-world demands of smart home professionals.”
