CEDIA Expo and Commercial Integrator Expo (CIX) returns to Denver from September 4–6, with a strong focus on lighting integration across the residential, commercial and resimercial markets. The show will feature a dedicated lighting pavilion, a full schedule of educational sessions and a host of new-to-show exhibitors.
The lighting area will showcase brands including Lutron, American Lighting/Proluxe, DMF and WAC/AiSPiRE, joined by first-time exhibitors such as Deako, SATCO and SunLight2.
“Lighting is central to the experience,” says Jason McGraw, Group Vice President and Show Director for CEDIA Expo/CIX. “Whether it’s home cinema where lighting is tied to shading and displays, home automation where it integrates with security and access control, or commercial spaces like meeting rooms, bars and retail environments—AV without lighting is akin to audio without acoustics.”
The lighting pavilion will feature displays from American Lighting/Proluxe, Brilliance LED, BTX Window Automation, Cleanlife, Deako, DMF, Environmental Lights, Folio, Garden Light LED, Light and Shade Solutions, Light Can Help You, Lighthouse Design Studio, Lighting BOSS, Luminii, Ocelo Lighting Solutions, PureEdge Lighting, SUNLIGHT2, WAC/AiSPiRE and Yeelight. Additional lighting brands at the show include Lutron, Legrand and Somfy Systems.
Lighting-related education at the show will include sessions such as Lighting the Path to Success: Insights from Industry Leaders, Myth Busting & Delivering: Human Centric Lighting & Wellness (September 3) and Best Laid Plans: Managing Lighting Designs That Survive The Project Gauntlet (September 4), as part of the CEDIA Education Conference.
“For integrators, understanding lighting design, control and integration is essential—not only to deliver smart home solutions, but also to grow their business across sectors,” says Paul Dolenc, Vice President of Education & Training at CEDIA. “CEDIA Expo/CIX gives members direct access to leading brands, technologies and focused training. The lighting pavilion and sessions offer a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge and connect with peers and thought leaders.”
Ben Bard, Vice President of Luxury Residential at Lutron Electronics, says, “Lutron is thrilled to see lighting take centre stage at CEDIA Expo/CIX. The rapid adoption of intelligent lighting in the CEDIA community is inspiring, and for those not yet involved, this is the perfect place to start.”
Jennifer Kirkpatrick, Director of Sales at American Lighting/Proluxe, adds, “CEDIA Expo/CIX attracts integrators from both residential and commercial sectors. That doubles our ROI and makes it a compelling use of time and resources.”
Jason McGraw concludes, “At CEDIA Expo/CIX, integrators gain a comprehensive view of the low-voltage and electrical ecosystems. As automation drives the convergence of these disciplines, access to information and education is more critical than ever—and this show is the place to find it.”
