Prove your humanity

CEDIA has announced the winners of the 2021 EMEA and Global CEDIA Awards at its sell-out awards ceremony held at the Science Museum, London on Thursday 11th November.

In front of an enthusiastic in-person audience of 375 industry professionals, and a global audience watching via a live stream, the event proved to be an enjoyable and exciting night for all, especially the winning CEDIA members from France, India, Portugal, South Africa, and the UK.

Two companies from the region to enjoy particularly successful evenings were Macbee from India and BNC Technology from South Africa. Macbee won four awards in total including the Global Best Home Cinema category for the company’s The Camellias project; while BNC Technology emerged with two awards, notably the Best Global Media Room award for its The Arabian scheme.

“The spectacular Illuminate at the Science Museum was a wonderful setting to acknowledge excellence in the design and application of technology from our creative and talented members,” says Rob Sutherland, CEDIA Board Chairman.

“This was truly a special year to take home a CEDIA trophy, as we joined together for the first time since 2019, following the disruption caused by the global pandemic. Everybody celebrated the outstanding achievements of our award winners in style and we all look forward with a renewed sense of optimism to a bright and positive future ahead for our industry.”

The prestigious black-tie event kicked off in style with a lively drinks reception before attendees headed into Illuminate, a fantastic space offering expansive and dramatic views over London.

Guests were welcomed to their tables by Rob Sutherland and enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner. CEDIA EMEA, Managing Director, Matt Nimmons then presented the Awards with the help of Alex Emson and Ben Davidson from Headline Sponsor, Monitor Audio; Katy Bradshaw from Pre-Dinner Drinks Reception Sponsor, Meridian Audio; Stephen Rhead from After Party Sponsor, Sonos; and, Paul Foulkes, Oliver Ray, Kris Hogg, Arnaud Laborie and Benoit Munoz representing the event’s associate sponsors KNX, LG, Samsung and Trinnov respectively.
