CEDIA celebrated the work of its members by announcing the winners of the 2022 EMEA Awards during a black-tie ceremony at The Brewery, London.

Almost 400 industry professionals joined CEDIA for its 17th awards event, with attendees coming from countries including Belgium, India, Pakistan, Cyprus, Germany, France, South Africa, the USA, and the UK. A live stream was available for those who were unable to attend.

The evening began with a pre-dinner drinks reception in the King George III room, which was sponsored by Meridian Audio. Guests were then welcomed to their tables by Rob Sutherland, CEDIA Board of Directors Past Chair, and enjoyed a three-course dinner in The Porter Tun, one of the largest and oldest unobstructed event spaces in London. Following an address from CEDIA Global President and CEO, Daryl Friedman, the awards ceremony got underway, with Matt Nimmons, Managing Director of CEDIA EMEA announcing the winners alongside the event sponsors.

UK members, Intuitive Homes and Ultamation were the success story of the night, walking away with a total of four awards for its Cooper House installation. Homeplay and Cinema Lusso also had reason to celebrate, as both companies were presented with a Global Award by headline sponsor, Monitor Audio.

Several individuals were also recognised during the evening, including Peter Aylett as a CEDIA Fellow, Mark Warburton and Andy Baker as CEDIA Volunteers, and Chris Pinder, who received the Special Recognition Award. The event concluded with after-dinner drinks reception, sponsored by Sonos.

“We are extremely proud of how the CEDIA Awards has become the must attend event of the year in the industry calendar,” comments Matt. “We thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to get our community together to network and celebrate our award winners. It was a fantastic evening and I’d like to congratulate all of our winners once again.”
