Atlas Cables, the engineering-led high-fidelity cable specialist, has unveiled the Achromatic X RCA plug, the latest evolution in its cold-welded audio connector range.
Building on the legacy of the Integra RCA plug—winner of What Hi-Fi? Best Analogue Interconnect Awards in 2012, 2013 and 2014—the new offering is designed to deliver enhanced audio performance and engineering innovation.
The Achromatic X RCA plugs represent a significant upgrade, incorporating new technology while maintaining Atlas’s commitment to audio purity. These enhancements include:
- Refined Solid OFC Pin Material – Improves conductivity and signal transfer at the cable product/pin boundary.
- Cold Weld Termination – Eliminates the need for solder, ensuring a seamless and highly conductive connection.
- Self-Cleaning Contacts – Asymmetrical plug contacts maintain pristine surfaces, reducing signal degradation over time.
- Non-Conductive, Low-Mass Plug Body – High-stability ABS material eliminates interference and prevents circulating eddy currents.
- Wideband Dielectric – Enhances bandwidth for clearer, more dynamic sound reproduction.
- Recyclable Plug Design – Supports sustainability without compromising performance.

Upgrade Offer
Atlas Cables is offering an upgrade programme for existing Integra and Achromatic RCA customers. Users can update their existing cables with Achromatic X plugs for £25 inc VAT per termination.
