UK based distributor, AWE has a tradition of winning deals with big named brands and its latest move sees it partner with US based maker Definitive Technology offering the company’s Mythos and Custom Installation collections to its customers.
Secured on an exclusive basis for the UK CI market, this premium speaker brand designs its products in its home state of California creating on-wall, architectural, floor-standing, bookshelf and outdoor speakers, as well as in-wall and freestanding subwoofers.
AWE sees the deal as a good fit for the other brands that it already offers the CI channel, delivering a strong speaker partner to Denon, Marantz and the HEOS multi-room audio platform.
Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE, says: “The Definitive Technology brand is highly respected in the US for very good reasons. The build and quality of the speakers and subwoofers is immediately evident and with a vast range of solutions available including premium ultra-slim on-wall models, our customers will be able to specify the best product for each project.
“We are thrilled to offer installers exclusive access to the installation focussed collections and are looking forward to building more business for Definitive Technology over the coming years.”
Adding this new brand means AWE can offer types of speaker previously unavailable to its customers as the company looks to continue to round-out its offering in an increasingly competitive distribution market in the UK, particularly in the AV and home cinema space.
Range highlights according to AWE include the Mythos XTR Series of on-wall speakers providing an ultra-slim wall-mounted option with a depth of just 38mm, designed to be a good match for ultra slim TVs. In addition, AWE also points to Definitive Technology’s subwoofer options. The popular SuperCube range combines digital amplifiers and front-mounted drivers as well as in-wall options too.
The full range of Definitive Technology Mythos and installation focused loudspeakers will be available exclusively from AWE from August 2017.
