AVID, Chord Company and Chord Electronics to exhibit at AXPONA

AVID, Chord Company and Chord Electronics will be exhibiting at AXPONA this weekend, where the latter will be showing the forthcoming Suzi Pre preamp and Suzi Amp stereo power amp in full production form, just weeks ahead of their imminent global launch.

The Suzi amplifiers expand the Hugo range with two additions which can be used in isolation, or in combination as a pre/power amp. The 30-watt Suzi Amp stereo power amplifier also seamlessly integrates with the Hugo 2 DAC, or Hugo 2/2go for DAC-amp and streaming-amp configurations.

The British company will also be bringing the ULTIMA INTEGRATED and will be demonstrating the resolving abilities of the Hugo TT 2 and Hugo M Scaler in a British system with ProAc speakers assembled by its US distributor, The Sound Organisation (room 668).

Attendees will also get the chance to hear the Mojo 2 courtesy of US retailer Upscale Audio (booth 8215) and the recently introduced Alto, courtesy of Moon Audio (booth 8101), both of whom are in AXPONA’s ‘Ear Gear Expo’ area.

British cable, power and noise isolation specialist Chord Company will also be marking its 40th anniversary at AXPONA 2025, by showcasing its premium Signature range, including the new SignatureX Tuned ARAY interconnects and SignatureXL speaker cables.

Launched in 1998, the Signature range was the first Chord Company collection to use ‘serious’ shielding in its design.

Digital cable connections have been entrusted to the Sarum T range, which sits one rung above Signature and incorporates the company’s Super ARAY tuning and proprietary breakthrough Taylon insulation material for a raft of performance benefits.

Hosts The Sound Organisation, will also offer A/B demonstrations between the Signature and Epic ranges, and will be showing the quietening abilities of Chord Company’s GroundARAY noise-reduction devices.

Analogue audio specialist AVID, which is celebrating 30 years of British manufacturing this year, will be attending AXPONA for the first time in over a decade. Company founder/owner Conrad Mas will be personally representing the British company, which specialises in complete analogue systems from turntables, tonearms and cartridges, to precision-engineered amplifiers, loudspeakers, cables and accessories.

AVID will be showing its British made entry-level Ingenium Plug&Play turntable, which comes complete with an AVID tonearm and cartridge, plus its advanced Pulsus phono stage in a system completed with ELAC loudspeakers.

The company uniquely designs and builds virtually every component itself at its headquarters in Cambridge, England, using high-precision CNC machines with exacting tolerances, with hand assembly by its passionate team of expert technicians.

This year’s AXPONA gives attendees the chance to meet Conrad and discover first hand, more about the company, its history and its 30th anniversary plans including some upcoming product launches.
