Daniel J SaitAustrian Audio has announced MiCreator Studio, a flexible pocket recording system that combines a condenser microphone and a USB-C audio interface in a compact design.
The MiCreator line includes the MiCreator Satellite, MiCreator Y-Lav, and MiCreator System Set.
The MiCreator Studio’s microphone maintains the professional audio quality that Austrian Audio has become known for. Add an audio interface with an additional input for quick-and-easy multi-tracking and optional stereo recording, “higher SPL handling than other USB mics on the market”, and intuitive on-board controls for compact and plug-and-play recording studio.

The MiCreator Studio has a SRP of £189 inc VAT, and key features include a plug-and-play USB-C microphone and audio interface, condenser capsule for professional audio quality, a max SPL of 130 dB, an input for connecting a second device (MiCreator Satellite, Y-LAV mic, Instrument), two headphone outputs, two gain settings and one knob jog-wheel for easy volume control, flex tilt vertical adjustment of the mic head, latency-free direct monitoring of the mic and input while recording and metal housing with changeable faceplates for a variety of colour combinations and customisation.
The Austrian Audio MiCreator Satellite (SRP £89 inc VAT) is a microphone that pairs with MiCreator Studio to expand creative possibilities further. Link Satellite and MiCreator Studio via the in/out ports to track two sound sources.
The MiCreator Y-Lav (SRP £49 inc VAT) is a lavalier microphone with an additional headphone jack. The Y-Lav turns theMiCreator Studio into a mobile content creation powerhouse allowing users to record two speakers simultaneously by tethering Y-Lav to the Studio.
The MiCreator System Set (Available November 2023) has a SRP of £279 inc VAT and includes the MiCreator Studio, MiCreator Satellite, all cables, two face plates for each mic, MiCreator MiniBar stereo bar and a custom MiCreator Case.
The MiCreator Studio and MiCreator System Set come with Steinberg Cubase LE digital audio workstation and Wavelab Cast for podcasts and social media. Cubase LE unlocks when the MiCreator Studio is connected to an iOS device.
