Alltrade’s continued growth in the CI and home automation sector has seen the company unveil expansion plans through 2018. Changes include a new corporate structure with a specialist CI focus, several internal promotions and opening two new trade counters. The company has also announced the creation of a new CI and home automation division.

Effective immediately, the company has created two distinct divisions. One division will spearhead the company’s continued development in the CI sector, while the other will strengthen the company’s leading position in the distribution of IRS/Fibre equipment.

The expansion has seen several Alltrade staff members move into senior management roles. Lee Harding has been promoted to the board of directors with the position of technical director for CI. Alltrade’s resident technical director Julian Hall becomes technical director for IRS, and Mark Bartlett becomes Technical sales manager for CI. Mark (left) and Lee are pictures below.

Alltrade MD, Steve Simper, comments, “As we continue to expand into new areas a decision has been made to divide the business into two distinct Technical areas to further enhance our customer service and support. One area will be for the traditional signal distribution sector, commonly known as IRS, and the other will incorporate IT, “Networking, Smart Home and Audio, and be referred to as CI. Our technical teams help us to stand apart from our competitors and we will continue to invest and train our already highly skilled staff across both divisions.”

On the strength of the continued success in the CI sector, Alltrade is opening two new trade counters in Reading and Bolton early 2018. The new Bolton branch is Alltrade’s first dedicated to the CI technologies. This will bring the total number of Alltrade Trade Counters to seven, offering a strong geographical spread across the UK. Each Trade Counter offers immediate access to Alltrade’s entire portfolio of products, knowledgeable staff and extensive installer training facilities.

Alltrade says it will also continue to invest in manufacturer and expert-lead training throughout 2018. Each Trade Counter has dedicated training facilities and seminar room that hosts an itinerary of training events each month. With trade counter training facilities across the country, installers in areas such as Wales and the North West no longer have to travel to London or the South East for high quality CI training.
