ADI | Snap One Launches All-New Episode Extreme

ADI | Snap One has Episode Extreme Series environment speakers built to withstand the harshest conditions.

With direct input from customers and testing to the highest reliability standards, the all-new Episode Extreme Environment Speakers fill a crucial gap in the integrator’s toolkit, says the maker. This marine-grade architectural audio solution delivers strong performance in extreme outdoor conditions where standard exterior speakers fall short, argues the company.

The new Episode Extreme Series has undergone rigorous environmental testing, including accelerated salt spray, wind exposure and high-heat endurance trials, ensuring these products meet the expectations of today’s demanding commercial and residential audio applications.

“With this launch, ADI | Snap One empowers customers to expand their audio services into new environments — from patios and pool decks to yacht interiors and hospitality steam rooms,” says Jason Winchester, SVP Chief Product Officer at ADI | Snap One. “As a combined business, we’re dedicated to innovating our products to help better serve our customers and end users. Therefore, we designed the new Episode Extreme Series speakers to unlock previously unreachable installations where full waterproofing and heat endurance are non-negotiable.”

Episode Extreme Series outdoor speakers are engineered to thrivein challenging conditions — withstanding temperatures up to 90°C, IP67-rated water intrusion and hurricane-force winds. A factory-sealed rear enclosure and hydrophobic PCB coating ensure consistent performance in marine environments, saunas and heavily exposed outdoor areas like coastal porches and commercial patios.

Every component, from the rust-proof aluminium grille to the high-grip dogs with rubber screw covers, is tailored to defeat the elements, giving integrators a product they can install with confidence in areas that feel the full impact of mother nature.

Designed with the professional integrator in mind, Extreme Series speakers install with ease, says the maker. They fit existing Episode rough-in brackets and cutouts, enabling a seamless upgrade path for existing projects. A secure clip-in grille design guarantees a tight hold that won’t rust, warp or loosen over time — critical for extreme temperature fluctuations and wind-prone areas. The rubber screw covers protect key components, improving long-term stability and finish in rugged environments.

Despite their durable exterior, the Episode Extreme speakers maintain the brand’s signature audio fidelity. A 2-way design with a plastic basket woofer and a titanium dome tweeter delivers detailed, room-filling sound whether installed in a sauna, screened porch or near the sea.

Available globally in all regions, the new Extreme line-up includes 6in and 8in In-Ceiling Extreme Environment Speakers as well as 6in and 8in Replacement Grilles in black and white (rust-proof, weatherproof). This premium addition complements the existing Core and Signature lines, giving integrators a tiered portfolio to match any environment, application or client demand.
