ADI | Snap One offers an array of products across multiple categories for every smart home installation, and as such, training remains a cornerstone of the company’s support strategy.
By the end of the year, ADI | Snap One will have two Control4 training centres in the UK. This year, it will open a brand-new training centre alongside a larger operations facility and warehouse in Oldham, near Manchester.
The company also has a state-of-the-art training facility in Enfield, North London. These new training centres offer both in-person and remote learning options, including the soon-to-launch Control4 Online Curriculum, designed to offer an updated pathway for our customers to reach Certified Technician status.
Additionally, integrators can access training through the extended network of stores, many of which have dedicated training facilities across the UK, providing local, hands-on education that’s convenient and impactful.
These facilities will also play a key role in supporting the launch of X4 later this year. Readers can view the training event schedule here.
ADI | Snap One states it has a responsibility to design training that both supports technical product integration and enhances the professional standards for the home technology industry. It also recognises that the training support provides needs to evolve to support new product innovations, working practices and the requirements of our customers.
This has been highlighted at the recent Smart Building Awards, where ADI | Snap One was awarded Best Training. This is a testament to the focus and investment that the company has put into ensuring its training meets the evolving needs of the UK smart home sector.
With hundreds of professionals trained over the past year, and strong demand continuing, the positive impact is clear – the training is helping integrators grow their businesses, expand their expertise, and raise professional standards across the board.
ADI | Snap One also recently introduced a new way for smart home integrators to become Control4 certified with the Control4 Certified Technician (C4CT) Program. This new approach allows professionals to access both an online or in-person version and features hands-on learning using a full suite of professional equipment and tools, including networking, lighting, security, surveillance, climate control, audio and video.
Training new technicians and keeping experienced ones up to date is an industry-wide challenge. But by giving technicians the option to complete the C4CT training online or in-person, ADI | Snap One is meeting the technicians where they are and significantly reducing the need to travel or disrupt ongoing projects.
C4CT online is a flexible programme and allows technicians to become Control4 certified over time and on their own schedule, while still gaining valuable hands-on experience.
The training typically takes 50 hours to complete all eight courses, including the hands-on activities and practice labs. The program is in-depth and engaging and includes both residential and commercial components. It also features Control4’s latest OS release – X4.
