Bliss Home Theaters and Automation, Inc has been creating and installing custom home theatres and automation systems since 1994, its key mission being to provide turnkey custom home theatres and automation systems for its clients.
The family owned and operated business prides itself on customer service, close customer relationships and professionalism.
Robert and George Bliss personally interact with all clientele through the entire process, from design to delivery of the custom system.
Typically, the company’s jobs range from $250K for a dedicated home theatre system to north of $US12 million for the ultimate automation system.
A recent project saw the team install a consumer grade theatre with ‘some professional perks’ into a brand new French chateau estate in Calabasas, California.
“Bliss HTA has the expertise to handle any project from small to immense,” says Robert. “Our system is one of the largest selling points, if not the selling point, after our customers put their home on the market.”
Bliss is a referral-based business and relies on complete satisfaction from its clients. “We as a team will go to any lengths to ensure a satisfied customer and a positive referral,” he clarifies.
The ‘professional perks’ in the French chateau estate include a 120in MicroPerf Stewart Filmscreen complimented by a 7.1 Wisdom Audio surround system.
The images are provided by a JVC 4K e-Shift projector, controlled by a Crestron 6in touch panel.
The theatre boasts 16 zones of audio, video and HVAC.
Plush seating is provided for in the way of Fortress Seating motorised reclining models.
“The entire project is Crestron,” says Robert. “Crestron DM is the video switch and Crestron Swamp is used for audio. Every zone is controlled by either a hand-held Crestron MLX-3 or an iPad mini. Lighting, shades, security, pool and surveillance is also all provided by, or controlled by Crestron.
“In our opinion Crestron is the only product to use. Everything else is second place,” he states.”
Robert reveals that the team didn’t face any challenges during the installation as the project was planned and executed with realistic expectations in mind.
When asked if anything stood out for him, Robert comments that the “background music system is above average; it had to perform at an elevated level. We used Meyer Sound and it really came out really nicely. However the theatre is my personal favourite part because they are fun to do.”
And the client’s favourite part of the finished install…? “You will laugh; but it’s his speakers in the master shower!”
