URC has launched a two-way IP module for integration of its Total Control system with Russound MCA controllers. The module, available today to authorised URC installers via URC’s dealer portal and also on Russound’s dealer portal, provides for easy control of Russound’s MCA-66 or MCA-88 controller amplifiers using any URC Total Control touch screen, handheld remote, or the Total Control smartphone application.
“We’re constantly expanding our portfolio of integration partners for our Total Control system, and Russound is an important addition to our roster, given their long history of distributed audio,” says Lars Granoe, URC VP of Product Development. “This gives our installers more choices and maximizes their efficiency on the job.”
“Russound has a 50+ year history of leadership in distributed audio, and our award-winning MCA controller amplifiers embody our latest innovation, featuring analogue and digital source switching (including Bluetooth), integrated amplifiers, 12 volt triggers for home theatre and power management, and the choice of fixed or variable output settings on select audio output channels,” added Charlie Porritt, CEO, Russound. “Now that our MCA products feature two-way communication with URC Total Control system, our already flexible audio distribution system provides even more options for custom installers.”
Sold only through direct dealers, Total Control 2.0 is URC’s smart automation and control system featuring premium performance, customisable GUIs and third-party integration. Total Control 2.0 is suitable for commercial facilities such as bars and restaurants, conference rooms and executive offices, common areas and amenities spaces in multi-dwelling units, hospitality and classrooms.
