Vivitek’s DH759USTi and D756USTi ultra-short throw interactive projectors are aimed at the education sector.

New from Vivitek are the DH759USTi and D756USTi ultra-short throw interactive projectors designed for all education applications. The two new models are successors to the manufacturer’s interactive family of ultra-short throw projectors, claiming to offer increased ease of use, functionality and connectivity over their predecessors, citing easy set up, HID driver-free recognition for the interactive pens, and driverless installer (meaning no need for driver updates) as key features.

Another key feature presets itself in the form of the models’ upgrade from a four finger to a 10-finger touch capacity, via the optional sensor, to facilitate a more

interactive education session. The multi-touch capacity allows for touch gesture usage – like pinch and zoom, rotation, click and flicking.

These projectors have been designed to be installed against walls with just a short space to the screen; in the case of the D759USTi a maximum screen size of 100in can be created from a 44cm distance. Added to this, the models can create up to a 110”in diagonal image, making any finely detailed images clearly readable from the back of the classroom or teaching areas.

Well suited to rooms where space is limited, the DH759USTi and D756USTi ultra-short throw projectors also take into account budget, space and maintenance considerations.

The DH759USTi features Full HD resolution, 3,500 ANSI lumens with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and is equipped with a lamp life that lasts up to a reported 7,000 hours with a total 2x10W audio power with microphone input, while a host of I/O connectivity options including dual HDMI inputs have been included with future-proofing in mind.

Meanwhile, the D756USTi offers the same features, only with WXGA resolution, 3,300 ANSI lumens and a 10,000 hours lamp life.

Due to the inclusion of NovoScreennote Interactive Whiteboard software, multiple students can work simultaneously on an assignment on the whiteboard and screenshots can be captured and retrieved again.

It can also record the user actions performed on the computer for added convenience. To increase collaboration and interaction even further, the additional NovoPRO wireless collaboration device can be added to engage up to 64 participants at the same time, allowing them to share files and response to voting/polling questions. It also allows up to four students to share content spontaneously on the split screen from their connected devices.

Both projectors include dual HDMI ports and RJ-45 for network administration and control (AMX, Crestron, Extron, Telnet compatible), also offering the ability to turn off automatically when there is no signal input for a period of time, as well a sleep timer to save the lamp by avoiding unnecessary energy consumption.

The projectors are available with five-year standard warranty or five-year full coverage warranty, which includes the lamp life time for an average of five years (18,000 hours),
