Vision now ships cables in a clever box which solves two problems. It protects the cable during shipping, then acts as a spool to help deploy the cable; simply hold the box in the prescribed way and pull the cable.

The manufacturer says that unspooling in this way means the cable is immediately straight, instead of coiling as they normally do causing problems on-site, and making installation slower.

The time saving is significant claims Vision especially with longer cables that take a long time to straighten out and invariably snag if you don’t take the time to do this, potentially damaging the cable as well.
