Triax has announced the acquisition of Macnetix, a German-based service provider of business-critical IT infrastructure, cloud services and modular software solutions.
Macnetix already had a strong showing in the hospitality industry, having offered solutions to hotels and hospitals for several years – and it was that knowledge that Triax is acquiring. The company says that the acquisition is part of a strategic move to enhance and accelerate Triax’s growth in providing TV and Wi-Fi solutions to the hospitality segment.
As part of the acquisition, Triax has acquired Macnetix’s uniquely designed guest interaction platform, including information services, digital signage and Wi-Fi solutions. In combination with TRIAX’s experience in TV solutions and extensive partner network, this will supposedly deliver a competitive edge to the customers of both companies.
“With this acquisition we are following our growth strategy within the hospitality segment. Macnetix is a highly specialised software company, which will add to our competences in our search for excellence. This is a great day for both companies”, says CEO Claus Omann, Triax.
CEO of Macnetix, Dirk Wahrheit sees this as a golden opportunity for continued growth. “I know we have the right solution. Macnetix’s highly skilled team has developed a strong guest interaction platform and now it is time to bring it on a broader scale. I very much look forward to continue as CEO for Macnetix and to work together with the entire TRIAX organisation,” he notes.
Macnetix will join Triax as a strategic business unit and, as such, will continue as normal. The Macnetix management will join as shareholders in Triax and there will be no changes for current customers or employees in either companies as a result of the acquisition.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the acquisition price.
