The 2017 Winter NAMM Show is currently taking place in Anaheim, United States, and it’s the location Shure has chosen to debut its latest addition to the GLX-D Digital Wireless line. The GLX-D Advanced Digital Wireless is an enhanced suite of products, including the GLX-D Advanced Frequency Manager, rack mount receiver system, remote antennas and accessories.

With a new rack-mountable configuration, GLX-D Advanced allows up to six GLXD4R receivers be linked to a GLX-D Advanced Frequency Manager via the RF ports. To simplify installation, the Frequency Manager automatically assigns optimal frequencies to all six receivers utilising patented data communication via the existing RF cables. Linking two Frequency Managers together enables the use of additional rack mount systems.

Using the new Frequency Manager, GLX-D Advanced users can operate up to nine simultaneous systems in typical conditions (11 channels in optimal conditions).

“GLX-D Advanced saves users time and money by including rack hardware and rechargeability in the box,” notes Mike Nagel, wireless product manager at Shure. “In fact, over the life of one battery, customers can save 2000 Euros vs. disposable batteries – combining that with the 16-hour run time provides exceptional value.”
