Optoma has announced four brand new additions to its DuraCore laser projector line-up, with the latest ultra short throw options offering the perfect versatility for signage applications. Dubbed the 400UST DuraCore series, these projectors boast either a Full HD 1080p or WXGA resolution, and all offer a laser light source for a long lifetime and low maintenance.

Packed with 4,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, the 400UST DuraCore series is capable of 20,000 hours of uninterrupted operation in full brightness mode. Optoma believes this is perfect for digital signage applications.

To further its digital signage credentials, Optoma has packed the 400UST DuraCore series with versatile orientation, including portrait mode and downward projection. This should come in handy in a retail environment, where space is typically at a premium.

Optoma’s 400UST DuraCore series weighs 5.6kh and can be ceiling mounted just centimetres away from the wall or shop window and can project an image size of over 100in.

Interactive models also offer ‘TouchBeam’ finger-touch interactive technology feature that transforms any surface into an interactive experience. The ‘TouchBeam’ supports up to 10 multi-touch points for collaborative working.

With Office Viewer functionality built in, presentations can be plugged in and played via the projector’s built-in media player without the need for a laptop or PC.

The projectors can be used together with Optoma’s ALR100 ambient light rejecting screen for enhanced colour and contrast in brightly lit spaces.

James Fursse, VSS technical product Manager at Optoma EMEA, comments: “The 400UST projectors are the lightest and brightest ultra-short throw lasers in their category. The 0.25 UST throw ratio on the ZH400UST 1080p model, its compact chassis and versatile installation make this an exemplary projector for digital signage solutions.”
