Maestra Group, an event design, technical and scenic production company, has announced that it will open a European base in Barcelona, Spain. This is due to an increase of work in live events for the company throughout Europe, particularly in key areas of Spain, the south of France and the Italian Riviera.
Barcelona has become an important city in the worldwide events industry, with the city’s Fira de Barcelona hosting many of the world’s top trade shows. That includes events such as Mobile World Congress, Smart City Expo World Congress and, beginning in 2021, Integrated Systems Europe.
The new operation is 20 minutes from central Barcelona and 10 minutes from El Prat International Airport, and will be officially opening in September. From launch, Maestra Barcelona will be up-and-running, complete with a multilingual team of seven experienced live events professionals who will be working across all departments, from project management to technical design.
To complement its London equipment inventory, Barcelona will be equipped with brands such as d&b, Robe, Analog Way, Sennheiser and Yamaha. It will also serve as an expansion for Maestra Group’s general European business.
“Strategically it is a great base for servicing events across the whole of Europe and ensuring that we stay competitive and dynamic in a fast-moving world of product launches, conferences and events,” stated Tom Clements, a director of the company.
