Kramer’s VIA GO² and VIA Campus² will both make US debuts at the show, bringing new levels of flexibility, simplicity and creativity to meeting and educational spaces, which can be controlled from a personal device, without requiring the sharing of dongles.
A solution for classrooms, huddle spaces, and small meeting spaces, VIA GO² delivers wireless presentation functionality in a compact form factor, at a notably affordable cost. With 4K HDMI output, 1024-2048 bit encryption, 30Hz video streaming, and native AirPlay, Miracast, as well as Chromebook support, the new VIA GO² saves users the need to install software on their devices.
As part of Kramer’s strict quality and security assurance policies, all Kramer product lines, including VIA, comply with ISO 27001 certification.
“It works right out of the box, and everyone can use it. With the multitude of meeting spaces which are confined or are designed to host a small number of people, IT departments do not have the resources for dealing with a flood of help desk service tickets or calls. VIA GO² delivers on the promise of powerful and reliable wireless collaboration. On top of that, schools, colleges, and universities can easily upgrade their existing classrooms and auditoriums,” says Yael Chicheportiche, VIA product line manager.
The micro form factor of VIA GO², as opposed to most of the competition, lets installers easily mount the device on a projector, transforming an old projector into a BYOD machine.
Since VIA GO² has a built-in scaler, users can share various resolutions and the device automatically scales to the right resolution for the projector or display.
“This device can take any AV signal in the room and make it work,” adds Chicheportiche. “It also conveniently shows users when meetings are scheduled in the room and can utilize the room’s main display for digital signage in between meetings.”
Being shown alongside VIA GO², Kramer’s latest VIA Campus² is an end-to-end open AV platform for wireless presentation and collaboration, streaming, and video conferencing. The Windows 10 driven device supports any third-party app, which increases versatility and productivity in every space.
Users can connect with any laptop or mobile device, to view, edit and comment on documents in real time and record sessions. Meeting participants can display or stream full uninterrupted 60Hz video from their device, with the ability to play YouTube videos in full frame rate. Due to its power and flexibility, VIA Campus² can handle any size of meeting or training space and diverse meeting scenarios.
Both solutions enable full meeting flexibility by supporting third-party conferencing and office apps, such as Microsoft Office, Skype for Business Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, WebEx, Zoom or any other video conferencing software codec.
With Kramer, easy and effective wireless connectivity comes as standard. Built-in WiFi provides two setup options for enabling meeting participants to wirelessly join the meeting, either through their VIA device to a WiFi existing network, or using the built–in VIA WiFi as a guest network for participants to connect to.
