Just Add Power has revealed its latest 4K Ultra HD over IP range; giving attendees at the CE Pro and CI 100 Summit the ability to get their hands on the device first.

The 3G Ultra HD over IP transmitters and receivers, work in conjunction with a standard gigabit managed switch to distribute 4K Ultra HD/HDCP 2.2 encrypted content, as well as 1080p and lower content, from any number of sources devices to any number of displays over a local area network.

Just Add Power has designed its latest range specifically for custom installers.

Features designed for those working on integration projects include HDCP 2.2 support, a built-in 4K scaler on the RX for the distribution of HDMI 2.0 sources to non HDMI 2.0 screens and vice versa, support for video walls and uncompressed lossless multichannel audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, USB 2.0 over IP and Dolby down-mixing from 5.1.

Hoping to stay true to its slogan, ‘HDMI without limits’, Just Add Power has ensured that its latest range is as adaptable as possible.

With 3G there is no mandatory upgrade to 10 Gigabit managed switches and fibre optic cabling, although fibre can be used if needed.

Otherwise, installers can use standard Cat 5e/6 cabling and a Gigabit managed switch with the 3G Ultra HD over IP transmitters and receivers to create an HDCP 2.2-compliant Ultra HD video matrix of any size, from 2×2 to 4,000 x 65,000 with support for video walls (up to 16 x 16) and a built-in 4K scaler.

The 3G receivers have a built-in video scaler that can downscale 4K Ultra HD, HDCP 2.2-encrypted content and output it as 1080p (or lower) for viewing on a legacy display.

The 3G receiver can also upscale a 1080p signal and output it as 3840 x 2160 to be shown on an HDMI 2.0 display.

The seamless HDCP feature should mean that all HDMI 2.0 and non HDMI 2.0 devices play nice together within the same network.

Whereas earlier Just Add Power products supported only side-by-side 3D, the 3G Ultra HD over IP products support all 3D formats.
