James Lakeman is set to head-up the new initiative, joining the company as new business account manager.
James brings a wealth of experience to the new role, having worked in IT distribution for the past nine years.
James is described as a personable and dedicated professional who will bring a balanced approach to channel sales, focussing on building relationships by maximising the performance potential of existing client projects, while supporting both new business and account management functions across reseller channels other than residential.

The range of products Habitech has to offer the commercial sector include Wyrestorm’s video-over-IP platform Network HD, LaunchPort’s inductive iPad charging systems, iPort’s surface-mount platform for iPad and Sonance’s recently launched professional series speakers.
Habitech believes there are particular opportunities offered to the commercial sector by WyreStorm’s Network HD video over IP platform, as the company says it represents a cost effective, highly scalable and easy-to-deploy solution for 1080p matrix switching and video wall applications.
The partnering Touch App control provides easy user navigation, with native compatibility with WyreStorm’s automation platform Enado for where more comprehensive source control is required.
iPort’s surface mount platform for iPad combines an iPad mount and IP keypad to deliver the functionality of iPad Apps with an array of hard-buttons wired to network switches for access to the primary functionality of third-party control systems from the likes of AMX, Crestron, Savant.
Habitech says the recently released Sonance Professional Series includes a range of 70V, 100V, 8Ω selectable in-ceiling, pendant and surface-mounting speakers for larger-scale audio distribution applications, delivering scalable audio integration via consistent voicing, low distortion
