Extron is hoping to revolutionise the way you book and find a meeting room with a new room scheduling system.
The company’s Room Agent software works with 5” and 7” TouchLink Pro touchpanels, displaying a room’s meeting information and occupancy status on the screens.
The Room Scheduling touchpanels aren’t exclusive to Extron’s software however, with the panels also able to connect directly to Microsoft Exchange and other scheduling software.
Users can reserve rooms from any Exchange-connected device, including mobile devices, or from the touchpanel itself.
The touchpanels can be mounted in various ways, whether it’s on-wall, in-wall or on a flat surface, such as glass or granite.
When the screens are set up, installers have the option to use the Extron TLP Pro 520M, 720M and 720T TouchLink Pro Touchpanels as traditional touchscreen controllers or as exclusive room scheduling appliances.
Installers only need to connect the touchpanel to their computers and open the software, there will then be the option to compose a user interface and customise it to exacting demands, with no programming skills needed.
“Room scheduling further enhances our TouchLink Pro touchpanels by transforming them into convenient room booking appliances,” says Casey Hall, vice president of sales and marketing for Extron.
“Deploying room scheduling touchpanels is easy. Once you’ve modified the interface to your liking and loaded it to the panel, users can simply tap the screen to book a room,” he continues.
