Since being purchased by parent company inMusic, the Denon and Marantz Pro brands have under gone something of a renaissance with the company looking to deliver a whole range of solution for pro AV applications.

Steve Turner, European marketing manager for inMusic tells Ce Pro: “Like loads of AV fans we love these brands and were thrilled to get the chance to work with them. ISE is all about putting these brands back on the map and in the past six weeks no less than 26 new products have been announced so as you can see we plan to be very dynamic with the ranges.”

Catching the eye and the ear from the Denon Pro family were the new Delta Series pof professional loudspeakers.

Custom-designed with purpose-built components, Denon says these state-of-the-art loudspeakers fuse true studio-grade sound with extensive power to handle events and performing arts venues with ease.

Each model features wireless control over internal digital signal processing (DSP), giving operators sound-shaping capabilities in the field.

Included in the Delta Series are the Delta 10, Delta 12, and Delta 15 tops plus the Delta 15S and Delta 18S subwoofers, with low-frequency driver sizes measuring 10, 12, 15, 15 and 18 inches, respectively.

Denon says each Delta loudspeaker reproduces sound with the same clear, fatigue-free quality expected out of the best professional recording studio monitors—yet with the ability to overcome a large crowded room with high-definition acoustics.

Backed by 2400 Watts of Class D amplification and 90×60 degree dispersion, the Delta 10, Delta 12, and Delta 15’s directed soundfield is designed to make sure every seat in the room get a quality experience.

The two subwoofers—Delta 15S and Delta 18S—are further highlighted by long-excursion drivers and tuned crossover circuits for articulate low-end.

Each speaker’s built-in DSP is remotely controllable via the Delta Drive iOS app for custom calibration away from the mixing position; time-compensation, EQ curves, gain and test tones.

All Delta speakers are constructed of premium 19mm birch plywood for outstanding sound and rigidity, with standard 35mm pole socket in addition to 12 M10 rigging points.

Costa Lakoumentas, senior VP of Denon Professional, says: “We obsessed over the speaker requirements of commercial AV professionals to create a knockout combination of power, sound quality, and in-the-field agility that simply wasn’t previously available. The Delta series ticks all of the right boxes, putting peerless sound and intuitive wireless control in the hands of users who need the highest possible performance when the whole venue is listening.”

A couple of really attractive looking products that just beg to be played with came in the form of two new audio mixers designed with flexibility in mind to target the event, rental and fixed AV markets.

The DN-408X and DN-412X audio mixers have been created to deliver in public speaking, conferences and performing arts venues.

The 8-channel DN-408X and 12-channel DN-412X offer a compact, 2-bus portable tabletop format with high-headroom DyNamic Audio (DNA) mic preamps to ensure a pristine and engaging audio path from input to output, says Denon.

The DN-408X and DN-412X also offer built-in audio compression to automatically tame unpredictable audio level surges.

Both the DN-408X and DN-412X also include over 100 studio-grade effects and 9-band graphic EQ for enhancing a mix.

Each mixer channel features colour-coordinated 3-band EQ for correcting and shaping audio frequencies.

Denon adds that mixer includes a wealth of input and output types to ensure adapter-free connection to loudspeakers or amplification systems: XLR, balanced .-inch (6.3mm) and RCA.

An internal power supply and rigid metal construction complement the layout with long-term reliability—even when ported from venue to venue.

Costa says: “Sound reinforcement for events is far more intricate than ever before, requiring a gamut of tools to get the job done. Until now, AV professionals and venues would have to provide a variety of adapters and processors with them to accommodate their client’s needs. Our new mixers were built to prepare the user for the unexpected with top-rate sound quality and intuitive signal management. When the pressure to perform is on, users will appreciate the peace of mind we provide.”
