Crestron is expanding its presence across Asia, as the home automation firm launches a whole new firm – Crestron China.
Launched in partnership with Shanghai Golden Bridge, a Chinese company specialising in applied solutions and services of multimedia information systems, Crestron China will bring the full Crestron service model to China.
Stuart Craig, CEO, Asia Pacific, Crestron, notes: “Combining Shanghai Golden Bridge’s extensive infrastructure footprint and in depth knowledge of the China market, with Crestron’s world class technology solutions, technical support and sales and marketing programs makes a lot of sense for this market. Crestron and Shanghai Golden Bridge will create a full service Crestron operation in China. We are currently building a Crestron Experience Centre, training and support facility in Shanghai with further details coming to all our customers very shortly. We will create a new benchmark for customer service to the channel and our end clients”.
Crestron has gradually been expanding across Asia in recent years. This is similar to most other firms in the world which are hoping to take advantage of the growing Chinese middle class, who have a taste for high-end products like Crestron’s automation systems.
In addition to its Chinese presence, Crestron is also growing in other major emerging markets in Asia. A new wholly-owned Crestron subsidiary in India has been set-up, while a new facility has debuted in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong.
The Indian subsidiary is headquartered out of Bangalore and supports existing regional offices. The headquarters benefits from a fully functional Crestron Experience Centre, while a local Crestron team will be on-hand to provide training and education to its Indian partners.
A Crestron Experience Centre is also located at the new facility in Quarry Bay, alongside training facilities and advanced technical support. From Hong Kong, Crestron will be hoping to extend its products into Korea, Macau and Taiwan.
