Clear-Com has revealed a new mobile App called Agent-IC which is set to offer users the capability of remotely accessing their Eclipse-HX Matrix intercom systems.

iPhone and iPad users can take advantage of the App by giving studio staff and OB teams in remote locations the ability to use their phones as a virtual intercom panel.

Clear-Com has security in mind with the mobile App as well, requiring users to get the proper authorisation and system pre-configuration from the broadcaster’s system administrator using EHX. The company has also implemented audio encryption to ensure that all broadcasts are secure.

Agent-IC is managed from the host Eclipse-HX system and features point to point calling, point to multi-point calling, Partyline, PTT, local cross-point audio level control and notification functions.

Users of the Eclipse-HX matrix intercom system should be familiar with the layout of the Agent-IC App, with it designed to look like a dedicated intercom panel.

Clear-Com is also promising ‘excellent’ audio quality thanks to the usage of the G.722 codec.

The Agent-IC App will be available for demonstration on Booth C5409 at NAB 2015.
