Bose is now shipping its new PowerShare adaptable power amplifier line, consisting of three 1U models: 2- and 4-channel fixed-install models (PS602 and PS604) and one 2-channel portable amplifier (PS602P).

The new models are the latest in a long line of PowerShare products from Bose, with each model delivering 600W of power that can be shared across all output channels. All the models also support both low- and high-impedance loads up to 100V.

Bose has packed in a few features to make installation of the PowerShare amplifiers easier than ever. This includes onboard configurable loudspeaker processing and direct access to zone controllers, which eliminate the need for an additional signal processor in many installations.

Not all installations will be able to benefit from this however. Installers that require additional signaling processing have been catered for however, with the PowerShare Editor software offering real-time selection and control of Bose loudspeaker EQs, 9-band PEQs, mixing, crossover, limiters, delay, and mute/output polarity through a USB connection.

For basic setups without a PC, rear-panel settings allow installers to recall Bose loudspeaker equalisation and protection per output channel. These features eliminate the need for an external signal processor in many applications.

“When we introduced our PowerShare adaptable power amplifier family at the 2016 InfoComm Show, we received tremendous interest from integrators and system designers alike,” states Ashraf Elghamrawi, Bose Professional amplifier product line manager. “Because of PowerShare’s unique architecture, all 600 watts can be used across the outputs, allowing installers the freedom to utilise power where needed.”
