BenQ has announced a new addition to its BlueCore projector range, with the launch of the LU951ST short-throw laser projector. This model is capable of running for 20,000 hours without any maintenance and generates 5,000 lumens of brightness.

The BenQ LU951ST has been designed for a variety of installation scenarios, with it supporting 360° vertical installation. That means it’s capable of being installed in museums, visitor attractions, or control rooms.

While 5,000 lumens may not be the brightest laser projector on the market, its WUXGA resolution and compatibility with a variety of control platforms, such as Extron, Crestron, AMX, and PJ-Link, make this a versatile projector.

“LU951ST opens endless possibilities for wondrous digital displays in diverse venues of any size,” says Conway Lee, president of BenQ Corporation.

“For interactive exhibitions and immersive experiences, BlueCore laser projection with short-throw, flexible installation, and multi-projection capabilities combine to make a powerful impact.”

LU951ST features BenQ Dust Guard Pro technology which seals the laser modules and light engine to protect the durable DMD chip, colour wheel sensor, laser bank, and all optical components, enhancing the durability. Dust Guard Pro minimises service costs and downtime and maximises return on investment.

Equipped with powerful wide-range horizontal and vertical lens shift, 1.1x zoom, and 360° vertical projection capabilities along with digital image resizing/shrinking and convenient image memory settings, LU951ST is ideal for installation in busy showrooms, distinctive exhibitions, and tradeshow displays, as well as small meeting rooms. With long-distance single-cable HDBaseT support, digital HDMI multiple-projector daisy chaining, and intelligent industrial design versatility, LU951ST perfectly accommodates the needs of today’s creative businesses without the extra expense and bulk of AV installation models.

Fully compatible with leading third-party solutions including Extron, Crestron, AMX, and PJ-Link, LU951ST can be managed by BenQ MDA, efficiently enabling operators to centrally control and maintain multiple projectors on their networks.
