Alcons Audio has appointed Lancashire-based distribution and installation business, InSynergy as its UK distributor.

“Having worked with Alcons in the past, I know both the company and products very well,” says Steve Badham, who set up InSynergy. “I truly believe that the performance of Alcons products is unmatched by any other system. The pro-ribbon high frequency drivers and matched electronics deliver a level of audible detail at high SPL levels that no other manufacturer has achieved.”

“The timing couldn’t be better for us to appoint a new UK distributor, with the fast growth we are experiencing worldwide,” adds Alcons co-founder Tom Back. “Over the years we have kept a relatively low-profile, because bringing such benchmark technology to the tough UK market requires knowledge and dedication. Steve has both in abundance and we are really looking forward to working with him again.”

Indeed, Alcons Audio products were recently installed into the very first studio to be granted a Dolby Atmos commercials and trailers mixing room licence in the UK, while the company is also making waves in the high-end residential sector with its mkII version of the CRMS Cinema Reference Monitor System.

InSynergy will be exhibiting at is London’s ABTT Theatre Show, where it will be showcasing Alcons’ new LR18 mid-sized line array.

“It’s an appropriate place to mark the public debut of our new partnership, with Alcons systems having recently been installed in prestigious venues including Hamburg’s State Opera House, the Swedish National Theatre, the Finnish National theatre and on Broadway with Hamilton,” says Steve.

“The main focus of our ABTT presence is to talk to, and book demos for, serious potential customers. Alcons products are aimed at those wanting the highest audio quality and, as other customers have found, once people hear it they know that it’s the very best available.”

“Steve is intimately experienced with Alcons pro-ribbon systems and he’s a good guy to work with,” adds Tom. “To be honest, his fabulous keyboards were really missed in the Alcons band. It feels a bit like the Blues Brothers – ‘We’re putting the band back together!’”

In Synergy is exhibiting on Stand D41 at the ABTT Theatre Show, which takes place at London’s Alexandra Palace from June 22-23.
