AGnVET Services Group has recently completed a project powered by Signagelive; the new solution has updated physical posters for merchandising to a digital signage network, to over 40 retail locations, enhancing its customer’s experience.

AGnVET Services Group is an independently owned Australian agribusiness, with specialist locally branded businesses located throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

Tell us a little about how you are using Signagelive?

We currently have Signagelive screens installed in 43 retail locations delivering marketing content to our end clients. This is a mix of 49in LG Digital Signs for locations with larger POS areas and 22.5in IAdea Screens for mounting on countertops in smaller locations

There are other SaaS-based digital signage options out there, why did you choose Signagelive?

We reviewed four other SaaS digital marketing content solutions and Signagelive seemed to be both best fit for purpose and had a high usability option for the non-technical marketing department.

What were the reasons for implementing a digital signage network?

We could not ensure the consistency of our marketing messages to our end clients, physical posters would not be put up, or we had no control over where they were placed.

How were these objectives being met previously?

Typically, signage would be sent to a printer, then the printed promotional materials would be sent to the branch network for inclusion in merchandise displays.

How did you build a business case internally for Signagelive?

We needed to address the issue of marketing content and new initiatives not reaching end clients/customers.

What is the best thing about Signagelive, in your opinion?

Set up is easy and it just works. I can easily see the status of devices to determine if they have been turned off or used for other purposes.

What is your favourite feature?

Players checking in and device status, we also have a very widespread customer base with different wants and needs due to location, so the ability to customise content via multiple playlist and tags has meant we are able to customise content at a granular level.

Did you face any challenges during any part of your project implementation? How were these resolved?

I think the biggest challenge was getting past the hurdle of our branch staff not really understanding what the purpose of digital signage screens were. Once they saw them in action, they did a complete 180° turn and changed their view.

How has business improved since using Signagelive?

The digital signage definitely provides visual cues, both conscious and subconscious. I have witnessed a customer remembering to buy something when he saw an advertisement for a product. Lol, he denied he was influenced. We also had a digital sign in the window of a store we were in the process of opening and it generated sales before the shop even opened.

What advantages does Signagelive offer?

Easy to use, very robust and reliable system for delivery of marketing and company messages.

“Having worked in IT for over 25 years, I feel like overall, this project was, put simply – fun!” says Jay Wilkinson, Business Systems Analyst, AGnVET Services. “We covered about 7,000kms rolling out the screens, so to keep the project within budget, you need to minimise time spent at each location. Due to the fact this system just works, from unboxing a screen to installing the player, we were able to move on quite quickly. Quite often installing in four to five locations a day.”

“It was a pleasure to have been given the opportunity to propose the Signagelive platform to Jay and the AGnVET Services Team. We were able to meet and exceed their expectations on many levels. The two main ones being the content management features, and choice of hardware to suit their specific needs,” adds Nick Curulli, Business Development Manager, Australia – New Zealand, Signagelive.
