Jordan O'BrienA.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd (AC-ET) has launched a new cabling brand at PLASA 2016, dubbed Tourflex Cabling.
“Some of our customers don’t even know about the service we offer; but last year we made over 100,000 bespoke assemblies, using half a million metres of cable, for the professional entertainment industry,” says Jonathan Walters, UK sales and purchasing director for distributor AC-ET.
“This included power, signal and multicore for lighting, video and audio. If we get an emergency call we often turn orders around in 24 hours, so the show can go on.
“We’ve got a great manufacturing facility in High Wycombe, skilled technicians, and we are keen to promote and grow this part of our business – we thought it was time for a new look and approach and so launched Tourflex Cabling at PLASA.”
The name Tourflex Cabling builds on the Tourmate connectors and Tourflex Datasafe cables and was launched at PLASA with a dedicated area, display stands and literature.
The business is investing in further manufacturing capacity at its site in High Wycombe to meet demand, as well as featuring more testing facilities and also plans to add further connector and cable types to its range.
